About
Hello and Welcome!
My name is Emily Johnson, I hold a license in Marriage & Family Therapy and I am here to help.
I imagine you are here because you have decided you need to talk to someone. I have been there - taking that step out of your comfort zone by acknowledging it is time to talk to a professional - it’s not easy.
Life sure knows how to throw curve-balls. You might be experiencing conflict with your significant other, struggling to get out of the same repetitive cycle. You might be feeling lonely and depressed. You might also be facing a transition in life that feels too big to face alone.
You have likely read multiple profiles of other therapists talking about their expertise. Here’s the thing - it is going to be difficult to decide if they are the right fit by just reading their profile (and now you might be laughing at the irony that here you are trying to decipher if I am the right fit by reading my profile!), but the reality is, it comes down to personality. We all have similar training through our graduate programs, and it is what we train in after that sets us apart. However, if you do not connect to your therapist’s personality, you are going to have a hard time getting what you need out of therapy. To get a sense of who I am, feel free to give me a call, or continue navigating the site.
I received a fantastic education through Hope International University, a small private school located in Orange County California. My masters degree is in Marriage & Family Therapy. The program I went through is nationally and internationally accredited, so they have high standards for their students.

A little more about me:
I have been married for 10 years to my rockstar hubby, Ross. He has worked in Fire/EMS for the last thirteen years and it has been a challenging yet rewarding journey. It is an honor to support the work of not just my first responder, but those all across Colorado. From March of 2018 to December of 2023, I worked for an incredible non-profit, Building Warriors, until they closed their doors. I have since began a new adventure with my business partner Nicki!
In 2022, I took my first ever international trip with my mom and my brother and we visited one of our ancestral countries - Poland. It was an amazing trip and an incredibly beautiful country. I highly recommend going! Since then I have also gone to England and Ireland. The travel bug has hit me.
We have two kitties, Merlin & Gandalf. They are brothers in every sense of the word. Cuddling one moment, chasing each other the next. They have brought so much love and laughter into our world.
